All the activities of V-group are based on the respect towards the environment and the relationship with society.



Guidelines


Social responsible actions are implemented by each company of V-group. Every action is adapted to a specific context which is formed by the following guidelines:


Implementation of Social Corporate Responsibility principles in every company of the group


Recognition, measurement and reduction of the environmental footprint in all areas where group activates


Promotion of transparency in all the transactions and activities


Ensuring a nice working environment, but also keeping the employees satisfied through their involvement in the continuous development of the group


Protection of human and labor rights


Helping local society cover its needs


Efforts to disseminate social corporate responsibility principles to associates and customers



Important initiatives


V-group undertakes many important initiatives such as:


‘Leaders for a day’ Project:


Every year, in cooperation with the Teachers Association and Parents Association, the students of Primary School visit a big company where there have the opportunity to watch and participate in the business operation. It is a very innovative initiative though which scientists accompany children and lead them to understand the value of healthy entrepreneurship. The students enjoy the tour and always leave the companies excited.



Human Resources Development Academy:


The Human Resources Development Academy is a non-profit structure financed by V-group, which has the purpose of disseminating, developing and promoting the principles and methods of modern Human Resources development. The actions of the Academy are implemented in cooperation with entities, enterprises and organizations of the private and public sector and individuals such as entrepreneurs, university professors and students. The Strategy and the Action are developed in the following key areas: education, information, networking, research and communication. The main objective of the Academy is to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of Greek companies through the development of their human resources. At the same time it aims to offer specialized services which meet the requirements of a difficult economic environment, with particular emphasis on education and development of leadership skills while promoting the concept of excellence at all levels.



Entrepreneurship School:


The Entrepreneurship School is an educational Structure funded and supported by V-group. It organizes seminars about modern methods of organization and start-up companies operation. The participants - young entrepreneurs or unemployed who wish to be involved in business life - have the opportunity to learn useful information by scientists, experts and entrepreneurs in order to meet the challenges of the new era and the labor market. The School also implements the Program "I can again," which involves entrepreneurs who have failed and are out of the market, giving them psychological support, education, accounting and legal support to prepare their reintegration in the business community.



Sponsor at the "Festival of wild flowers and herbs":


Every year, on June 5th the World Environment Day is celebrated. V-group, in cooperation with mountaineering and environmental associations organize the Feast of wild flowers and herbs at the Bourinos Mountain. It is an event of environmental awareness for citizens, entrepreneurs and students.



"OPEN HANDS" Foundation (www.openhands.gr):


A charity project of V-group which includes very innovative practices to offer help to people in need.



Corporate Sponsorship:


During the crisis, V-group chooses to support various purposes which are outside of the scope of key initiatives, such as basketball academies, sports events, tournaments, cultural events, etc.
